Students "planted" seeds in a petri dish. We will measure and record the root and shoot growth over the next week and then graph them. These seeds are "fast track" seeds so they should germinated quickly.
On a sadder note, the hummingbird nest was attacked by a large bird so the babies are gone. But, mama is back at it and busy building a new nest. It is always amazing to me how beautiful and cruel the natural world is
