I was not in school yesterday. Students read pages 48-57 in their books on Bacteria. They then worked on a worksheet which they should have finished for homework.
Today we corrected those sheets. Students then were given cups with clear liquid. They exchanged droppers of liquid with 3 other students. I had "contaminated" one of the cups. After students exchanged the liquids I added a couple of drops of the testing liquid. The liquid turned pink if it was contaminated. This activity simulated how quickly disease can spread to/from individuals without us even knowing.
