Students measured their gators and then classes got a worksheet on the SI Units(Metrics)

Students took measurements of their Gator today.
We then discussed Precision vs Accuracy
Student then got a sheet on SI units (metrics) to complete in class - homework if not finished

Gator lab Day 3

Students measured their Alligators for Day 3.
Periods 1 & 2 got a temperature sheet which needs to be completed for homework.
Other classes corrected temperature sheet and turned in.

Students finished their volume lab
Students then began Day 2 for Alligator lab

Students turned in their temperature sheet from yesterday.
Students then began work on volume. There is no homework

Students finished up their Mass lab.
Students then took a few notes on temperature scales. Students were given a temperature graph to complete for homework.

Mass Lab

After careful consideration I am putting the Alligator Lab on hold till next Monday.
Today students spent time reacquainting themselves with the triple beam balance.
There is no homework.

Alligator Lab Day 1

Students took measurements on their alligator.
This gator will be placed in water for the next week and we will measure it daily to see what occurs.

Students finished their metric measuring sheet and turned it in.
Students then began work on "Metric Scavenger Hunt" which is homework tonight if not completed in class.

Students corrected last nights homework and turned it in.
Students then made paper metric rulers to use throughout the year.
Students began a length worksheet which will be completed tomorrow.

Students took notes on basic metrics today.
Students then practiced converted from smaller to larger and larger to smaller units.
There are 10 problems that students need to solve for homework.

Students took their quiz on elements 1-18.
Students then finished their safety notes.
No homework except to study elements 1-27 for next week!

Multiple Intelligence Schematic

Students finished their Multiple Intelligence (Learning Style) Schematic.  If they did not complete this in class then it should be finished for homework.
Students began taking notes on the Scientific Method.

Students also worked on their schematic covers. If students did not finish, then they need to bring them home and finish. Covers are due on Tuesday Sept 5!
