Of course I turned it in to a science related physics assignment!

Car crashes with seat belts

Students designed seat belts and sent their cars down the ramp. We had a very good success rate!
Students have 4 questions to answer which need to be finished tonight if not completed in class.

Car crashes

Students crashed their "cars" and measured how far their "passengers" were launched and if they lived or died. All died.
Tomorrow they will work on constructing a 'seat belt" to protect their egg.

Students finished the activity "Dropping Objects" and the questions.
We then set up our papers for "Car crashes"

Balloon Races

Students needed to finish the balloon races. Periods 1-3 on Thursday and Periods 5-8 on Friday.
Once students were finished they needed to answer ALL questions on page 329. If students did not finish in class they need to check out a book and finish for homework.

I told students to read the directions and then complete the lab.
Many, many students did not read the procedure resulting in a poor grade.

Students took ntoes on Newtons 2nd and 3rd laws.

Students then worked on notes from our next chapter : Forces and Newtons Laws
