Capsule conclusions

Students turned in their capsule data table, graph and conclusion today.
I then had students work on questions out of the book from Chapter 10 - which is what the entire capsule project was about - and write answers in their spirals.
There will be a test next Wednesday on this.

Capsule Calculations

Students calculated velocity, acceleration and momentum.
Students have all these formulas written in their notes, I reviewed it today and we did a few to make sure that they were calculating correctly. If any of these were not finished in class then need to finish for homework.

Students launched their capsules today.
Not all capsules were launched and we will continue with launching tomorrow.
Students collected data which included time aloft and distance traveled.

Students continued with stuffing their capsules today. Some students will need to finish or be close to it over the weekend.
Monday we will collect data and we might start to launch.

Students began work on their capsules today.
Students cut their bottles and found the volume of their capsule.
Tomorrow students will work on stuffing their capsules, finding the mass, density, height and width.

egg
stuffing material but nothing that contains nuts!

Students continue to read in the book and take notes on force and motion.
Students are going to build a capsule and launch it next week - possibly Monday.
I am pretty sure that we will stuff our capsules on Thursday
So - supplies that students need to bring in for Thursday are:
1 two liter bottle
1 raw egg
stuffing to protect egg - no nut butters of any kind
