Capsule calculations

Students finished calculating all their work from the apollo capsules.
This is the last grade that will go in the gradebook this quarter!

Capsule streamers and densities

Students put their streamers on their egg capsules.
Students then added their information to the data sheet and calculated density for capsules.
To launch tomorrow students MUST have sketches done in color and labeled and data sheet completed this far. This is homeowork if not done

Capsule stuffing

Students that brought their stuffing and their egg made their capsules.
Students then began work on their cross section of their capsule which MUST be completed to launch.

Capsule cutting

Students began work on their capsules today.
Students cut their bottles to capsule size and determined the volume.
Tomorrow they will fill the capsules with their materials and the egg that they bring in.

UV Rays and Capsule Sketches

Students worked on completing their UV Rays Lab questions and finishing their Capsule sketches.
Homework: Both of these need to completed over the weekend  if they are not done!!
Students also need a 2 liter bottle for the next project!

Ultraviolet waves

Periods 1-3 tested sunscreen on their effectiveness.
Periods 6 & 8 finished their Apollo Capsule schematics

Apollo Capsule Sketches

Due to the cloudy weather today we did NOT do the UV sunscreen activity.
Students worked int their Big Science Booklets sketching the Apollo Capsule.
There is no homework.

UV Bracelets

We corrected yesterday's worksheets.
Students then made UV detection bracelets to know when they should be wearing sunscreen!
There is no homework.

Waves

Students took notes yesterday on waves.
Today students were given 2 worksheets to complete on waves.
This is not homework.

Tower graph and conclusion

Students worked on tower graphs and conclusions.
Graphs were shape vs. wt held
Conclusions needed to discuss what they did, the results, what can they draw from the results and 3 possible errors.
If these are not finished in class then it is homework!

Catapult

Students continued work creating their catapults.
There is no homework.
