Egg Drop Conclusion Poster grading
Students used their rubrics to grade their peers works. Both the papers being graded and the graders are anonymous. This acitivity shows students how difficult it can be to grade even with a rubric and why they really need to pay attention to rubrics when given one.

Students calculated weight to strength ratio by dividing actual weight held by tower weight.
They then ranked them in order.

Mini Rockets
Students worked on collecting data in an effort to shoot a mini rocket as high as it will go.
Their task is to mix vinegar and baking soda in the best combination to make their mini rocket go as high as possible.

Egg Drop Graph and Conclusion
Students graphed results of the egg drop.
Students then looked in their spirals under September 8 on their notes on how to write a conclusion.
They used that outline to refer to to write their conclusion on the egg drop.

Egg Drop
Students dropped their egg capsules today and wrote down their data of egg survival and time.

Egg Drop
Students made last minute modifications on their egg capsules and added finishing touches to their cross section drawings.
The egg drop will take place on Monday. Students must have their direction sheet AND their cross section to drop their egg.

Marshmallow Challenge
Students watched the TED talk on the Marshmallow Challenge.
They should have gotten two take aways 1. build prototypes testing as you go and 2. Triangles and other geometric shapes will be the strongest.
Students then had an opportunity to build a taller, stronger tower!

Students were given 20 pieces of spaghetti, 1 yard of tape, 1 yard of string and 1 marshmallow.

Cholesterol and Testing
Students missed 6 and 7 periods due to testing.
A science teacher at the Career Center asked if my students would rate her students work on cholesterol. So my classes watched a powerpoint on cholesterol. Tomorrow they will rate 3 of the projects.
