Students observed and recorded data for their mealworms.
Students then received clam model sheets. They will be using color to identify the different parts of a mollusk, cut the pieces out and staple together to create a model of a clam. We are doing this together in class today and tomorrow.

Shell Classification
We were suppose to have started the Meal Worm Project today. However, students did not bring in tubs and I don't have enough. So....Hopefully students will have tubs by Friday so that we can start that project.
Today students were given a variety of shells. They needed to classify them into groups, explain why they put them in the groups they did, sketch them, explain how they think they move and how and what they eat.

Coral Reef Debate
Students were assigned Pro and Con roles for our debate on whether to ban diving on coral reefs. Once students were in their groups they chose a Team Captain and split into two groups: the arguers and the rebuttal group. Each of these groups chose a Team leader. The Team Captain created a google doc which they shared with their members. Students should add facts (and sources) to their docs.
